Mexico 2008 Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan & Puerto Vallarta
Early March 2008, Connie
and Robert took a Princess Cruise to the Mexican Rivera. We were
on the Golden Princess with about 2600 other folks. We had a suite, so
the cabin and deck were large with some cute spiffs. We had a cabin at
the rear of the ship (B751), at the 11 story level about 9 stories
above the
water. The cabin faced rearward with a deck about 20 feet long.
We found this to be good, just enough breeze, but not windy. We saw
whales right from our deck as we passed Cabo on our way to Puerto
Vallarta. One of the spiffs was any meal could be delivered to
the room at no additional charge, so we ate in the room several
times. Thanks to Charlie & Jenny, Kevin and Lynn for all the
"extra cool stuff" delivered to our cabin.
The day "excursions" were an ATV (quad runners) tour of local
ranch and villages as small as 200 inhabitants in Puerto Vallarta. We
did a city tour of the church, market place, local sites and a resort
in Mazatlan. We took a whale watching boat in Cabo San Lucas with
whale sightings as soon as 10 minutes into the tour.
